We are familiar with the Service Members Civil Relief Act and with the division of military retirement in divorce actions, and how VA disability effects the division.
CRIMINAL CASES WITH FAMILY LAW
Family law does not always involve criminal actions, but it is not uncommon. While not required, we believe it is often in the best interest of the client for one attorney to handle both the criminal and family law matters because the subject matter can be so similar. Our knowledge of the criminal justice system also benefits our clients who need representation against a spouse or party who is facing criminal charges. Further, it is not uncommon for a divorce or custody action to arise out of a domestic violence event.
Whether you family law matter involves a criminal action or not, contact us to discuss your matter. We may be able to provide you with the help you need.
