Colleen A. Hyder is the newest member of the family of attorneys with the Law Office of Jeff Grimes & Associates. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she relocated to Tennessee to pursue her college education and has been happy to call Clarksville her home for seventeen years now.
Colleen is an Austin Peay State University alumnus, and received her law degree from Nashville School of Law. Throughout her college career, and during law school, she worked for several law offices in Nashville. There she cut her teeth on the family law issues that are so important to many of our clients, and honed her skills in document preparation and client interviews. Upon completion of law school Colleen spent some time in the Public Defender's office in Nashville where she gained valuable insight into the world of criminal law.
When asked what area of the law Colleen most enjoys practicing, she expressed an enthusiasm for all areas of the law, but would also like to increase her practice in the area of adoption. "The idea of helping to build families is very appealing to me," she said. "It's one area of the law that has a very positive result."
